Step into the world of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, but this time you are not just watching the anime or flipping through the manga. At the Dungeon ∞ Spiral experience inside The Tokyo Matrix in Shinjuku, you become part of the story. From July 18 to September 23, 2025, visitors can take part in a live action adventure that blends physical activity, puzzle solving, and immersive storytelling.

If you have never heard of Frieren, it is a moving fantasy tale about an immortal elf mage who once journeyed with a legendary hero’s party to defeat a great evil. Decades later, after her human friends have grown old and passed on, Frieren sets out on a new journey to understand the brief and precious nature of human life. It is loved for its heartfelt themes, emotional storytelling, and breathtaking art.

Located on the fourth floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, the venue transforms into a sprawling fantasy dungeon where you and your friends will jump, pull, and sprint through obstacles as you race against the clock. Players choose one of four companions, Frieren, Fern, Stark, or Himmel, to join them on their journey. For a small fee, your chosen character will accompany you with unique Japanese voice lines and eye catching animations. English instructions and support ensure that international guests can fully enjoy the experience.

When your quest is over, you can capture the moment in a themed photo booth and receive a limited edition Buddy Crystal showcasing your companion. Premium packages add Memory Crystal keychains and exclusive merchandise.

Starting August 1, the collaboration expands with Frieren themed treats, crane games, and gelato pop ups throughout the tower, complete with bonus coasters for collectors. The appeal is not just the fun of the activity but also the chance to feel like you have stepped into a beloved anime world.
