If you love flea markets on outdoor streets, then the annual Setagaya Boroichi Market from January 15-16 is one you will not want to miss!
Having gone on for more than 430 years, 700 stalls line up the street during the venerable flea market. It attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually and is a highlight of the area. The market sells a variety of used goods, antiques, handcrafts, religious artefacts, and even local food delicacies. Make sure you bring your walking shoes though, because this market is always busy and will test your patience if you want to buy!
Bonus Tip: Get off at Setagaya Station on the Setagaya Line, and start walking along Boroichi-dori. You will be able to cover the most ground this way!
